Rules & Guidelines

  • I will attach some documentation about certain guidelines.  I do not have a specific rules set.  In general, we follow USBC rules as it comes to code of conduct and play structure.  My simple rule about conduct is “DON’T BE A JERK”  “HAVE FUN FIRST”
  • Please wear nice attire.  A nice collared shirt is requested.  Please no ripped clothing or inappropriate attire.  Just use COMMON SENSE.  Shorts and athletic wear is accepted.
  • If you are signed up for an event and need to drop, please let me know ahead of time, ESPECIALLY in a team event.  Don’t leave you team hanging the morning of the event unless it is an emergency.
  • Averages are based on cashing at events and not necessarily scoring.  This allows us to weed out sandbagging in general.  Winners/cashers at events lose handicap pins earned, regardless of how they performed that day.  You could have a terrible day, but if you team held you up and you cash, you still lose pins.  On the flip side, if you don’t cash you can gain a couple pins.  No bowler can earn more than 2 pins in ANY tournament.  Handicap will be capped when the bowler reaches a total of 215 with average and handicap combined.  We do award bonus pins and that is how a cap can be reached.  Once a bowler cashes, we will remove a few pins in accordance with how high they cashed that day.
  • There is a MAXIMUM of 52 pins for any bowler.  Based on our 80% of 215 configuration, that is a 150 average.  Entering averages are calculated based on a 3 year composite on bowl.com.   Anything less than three years we will take what they have and composite that with a current season average.
  • All our events are handicap, however scratch players are able to compete as we do not have reverse handicap.
  • Membership is $20/yr.  Our “season” runs January-December, but membership is a 12 month rolling cycle, so if you buy a membership on June 1, it is good until May 31st of the next year.  You can bowl as a guest 4 times for an extra $5 above the entry fee.  At the time of the 4th guest fee, you are made a member retroactive to your first guest fee.
